Earlier this year we attended the Scottish Design Awards, hosted by the DRUM. As well as being sponsors for the event, we were excited to have the chance to showcase our immersive walk-through virtual reality platform to the guests.
Attended by top Architects & Design Agencies, the event proved to be a perfect opportunity to demonstrate the power of virtual reality and its implications for planning and design. Having already worked with the Aberdeen Harbour Board to produce life-like 360-degree videos for their proposed Nigg Bay redevelopment, as well as creating our own 3D spaces, we had plenty for the guests to immerse themselves in.
Although the above highlight reel does make for an entertaining take on a virtual reality demo (with slightly drunk guests trying it out), we did in fact receive for very positive feedback from those who immediately understood the potential of the platform.
Our most recent VR project will see us collaborating with experts to create an innovative tool that will dramatically enhance the design of healthcare homes. Although we can't reveal too much right now, we're excited to be using this opportunity to test the limits of VR and further explore how its features can be used to better the lives of others.
